Grandeur Travels took a look at the possible medical risks and the way the pandemic has shifted consumers thinking attitude towards traveling due to this pandemic.

Some industry experts think it could take up to 18 to 24 months before any substantial travel could take effect as many airlines are struggling to recover. Meanwhile, there is very limited outdoor activities as many countries mandated the stay at home order, with some enforcing it even with military presence.

The global pandemic has badly affected the international economy, disrupting lives, and businesses across many industries and sectors. It is becoming very certain that we might never return to the former way of life. Since the outbreak started, the travel and tour industry has suffered more than a 95% drop in activities as millions shelter in their homes across the whole world.

Most experts believe it could take up to 18 to 24 months before there can be an upturn in the travel and tour industry as they think most travelers are planning to vacation close to their homes with no plans to tour far away countries.

Most experts also believe that many airlines will have to resume with an aggressive approach on safety by setting up testing, tracing and isolation systems to ensure they contribute to flattening the Covid-19 pandemic curve.

Before regular demands could pick, airlines need to effect quality safety measures and communicate this strongly to their customers. They must also ensure airplanes are not crowded as many travelers dread crowded airplanes due to the pandemic and the fear of being infected.

We are hopeful the pandemic will gradually wane as many countries are working tirelessly to curtail it.
